QUEEN OF VERSAILLES THE MUSICAL

The new Stephen Schwartz musical The Queen of Versailles, headed for a world premiere at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre this summer, has found its full creative team. The Broadway-aimed production will begin previews July 16, with the five-week engagement currently scheduled to continue through August 18. Alejandro will be the music assistant/rehearsal pianist. The stage musical is based on a 2012 documentary about billionaire Jacqueline Siegel. Kristin Chenoweth and composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz are together again. Featuring a book by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone, Amy and the Orphans) and direction by Tony Winner Michael Arden (Parade, Once on This Island), The Queen of Versailles will explore the cost of fame, fortune, and family.

SOME LIKE IT HOT - BROADWAY

BROADWAY DEBUT! Alejandro was part of the music department for SOME LIKE IT HOT as their Music Apprentice. This was Alejandro’s first Broadway experience. After months with the show in rehearsals, Alejandro was asked to stay on to play rehearsals and sub Keys 2 at the show. SOME LIKE IT HOT brings one of Hollywood’s greatest comedies to new life on the Broadway stage. Featuring a score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray), a book by Matthew López (The Inheritance) and Amber Ruffin (“The Amber Ruffin Show”), and choreography and direction by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon), SOME LIKE IT HOT is currently running at the SHUBERT THEATER.

DEATH BECOMES HER THE MUSICAL

Casting is now complete for the new stage musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her, which begins previews April 30 at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre. Performances will continue through June 2. Alejandro will be the music assistant for the upcoming production. Based on the 1992 film, the work features a book by TV writer-producer Marco Pennette and music and lyrics by Julia Mattison and Noel Carey. Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) is directing and choreographing. LITTLE SHOP OF HOORS - OFF BROADWAY

Alejandro has joined the music team of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Off-Broadway at the West Side Theater. He will be playing rehearsals for the production and prepping their new cast members to join the company. Alejandro has worked with Darren Criss, Evan Rachel Wood, and Jinx Monsoon so far. A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years.
